FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a growth group?

Growth Groups are The H.O.P.E. Center groups of 10 to 20 people that meet in convenient locations all across The Mon Valley to learn more about the Bible, grow in their faith, and meet some great new friends.

Is there a group that’s right for me?

Since there are a variety of groups, you’ll have the chance to share your life experiences with others who have similar ones.

Do I need to buy a book or study guide?

No. When you sign up for your Fall Growth Group, you will be provided with everything you need for your group. We do pass around an envelope weekly for offering. The offering is not required it is used to cover the cost if the materials for your group and future groups.

What happens when I sign up?

When you sign up, the leader of your new Growth Group will contact you with the address of the Group’s meeting place, the date and time you’ll be starting on, and all the other information you’ll need to have a great experience.

When will my group meet?

Growth Groups meet once a week, and each meeting is just sixty to ninety minutes long. Groups meet for ten to twelve times over the semester. It’s a short-term commitment but the positive impact on your life will be long-term.

What will the people in my group be like?

The Growth Group is made up of the same people that attend a H.O.P.E Center worship service. You’ll most likely see a few people that you have seen on Sunday as well as some people that you’re meeting for the first time. It’s a great way to get to know other people outside of a Sunday service.

Can I invite others?

Invite as many friends, co-workers, neighbors, family, etc. that aren’t connected to another church. Growth Groups are designed to get people connected to our church and to develop friendships with one another. The more people, the better.
