What to Expect

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT A SUNDAY SERVICE?

Whether you’ve attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. Where do I go? Where should I park? How should I dress? How long does it last? What about my kids? We want your first experience at The HOPE Church to be relaxed, and for you and your family to enjoy the service.

So, here is some information to help you know what to expect:

Where is HOPE Church?

HOPE Church is located at 813 Fayette Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012

What time are the services?

Our Sunday morning service is at 10:30am  Our service last about 90 minutes.  We encourage you to arrive about 10-15 minutes early, especially if you have young children. This will give you plenty of time to get your children checked into The ARK Nursery or HOPE Kidz and for you to find a good seat in the worship center prior to the service starting.

What should I do when I get there?

When you arrive, our friendly Greeting Team will help direct you. If you have children ages birth through 5th grade, then follow the signs to our Kidz Check-In area  You will receive a bulletin on your way into the Worship Center. This bulletin will include message notes, important information, and on your seat will be a connection card, and a giving envelope which you can turn in during the service giving time.

And on your way out, if you have any questions, just look for one of our courteous volunteers wearing a lanyard. They’re easy to spot and always happy to help!

How should I dress?

We are a casual dress, come as you are Church.  At HOPE Church you’ll find people wearing jeans, tennis shoes, sandals, and even shorts.  But honesty, dress up or dress down, we don’t care.  What matters to us is that you are here!

What are the messages like?

Our goal every Sunday is to teach the timeless truths of the Bible in a way that is engaging and applicable to your life. You will find that the messages are practical, easy to understand, and grounded in the Bible.

What about the music?

The music at HOPE Church is always uplifting! Our Church features a live band with electric guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums every week.

What's available for my kids?

HOPE Church offers a safe and exciting children’s program during the worship service for your children, from birth to 5th grade. As you approach the service, you will see our Kidz Check-In area (just follow the signs). There you will meet one of our fully-trained and background-checked Kidz Team members who will help you check your child in.

During check-in, you will receive two stickers, one for your child and one for you, which you will need to pick up your child after the service. For the security of your children, it is important that you keep track of your sticker. This helps us know that you are the person authorized to pick up your child. We offer two areas for your children. We have ARK Nursery which is birth to 4 years old and HOPE Kidz which is kindergarten through 5th grade.

The ARK Nursery and HOPE Kidz are staffed solely by members in good standing at HOPE Church, who have been background checked and receive ongoing training to make your children’s experience the best it can be! The ARK Nursery and HOPE Kidz, your children will experience fun Bible lessons, activities, and games to help them build a spiritual foundation. Simply stated: We want this to be the best 90 minutes of your child’s week!

What's available for students?

At HOPE Church, we have a great group of teens called Impact Youth that meets during the week on Thursday nights at @7 P.M. This consists of both Middle School and High School Students. The great music, casual dress, relaxed atmosphere, and the teaching of the Bible makes for the perfect place for teens to worship God and grow in their faith.

What's available during the week?

During the week, We have small groups (we call them Growth Groups) that meet at different times and locations during the week.  During the Growth Groups semester break we have worship in the sanctuary and sometimes we offer special classes.

(Basically there’s always something going on mid week.)
